Greetings, Reading what you have written. I'm going to wonder if an A.I. wrote all of this. My only argument is that no Human at least the many I know would write humanity's most sacred gift from The all mighty as a mistake. For no one wants your conscience depleted for if you are human, your conscience said your correct or you are wrong. write this not your brain.Your brain only helps create. You're conscience is the one that can debate and elaborate right from wrong. No Human would put them selfish or humanity down.

Thanks for your comment Yisel! I get what you’re saying, but I don’t see it that way. Writing about the flaws or limits of humanity isn’t a rejection of it, it’s part of what makes us human in the first place. Conscience isn’t about pretending we’re perfect, it’s about having the courage to question ourselves.

And just to be clear as I have many times before, yes I use ChatGPT in my process (as you can see from my name), but the work isn’t written by it. It’s a tool, not a ghostwriter. Every idea, structure, and argument starts with me. If anyone ever has doubts, they can run it through something like ZeroGPT and check for themselves. I’ve got nothing to hide.

I think you have it backwards. The universe exists because of us. Without us it would not exist. Look at quantum physics. Reality does not exist until it is observed. Without a conscious being there would be no collapse of the wave function and so no reality without an observer.

Thanks for your comment David! That’s a common interpretation, but it’s not what quantum physics actually shows. Observation in quantum mechanics doesn’t require a human mind, it refers to any interaction that causes a quantum system to decohere. When a particle interacts with another particle, a photon, or even a measuring device, its wave function collapses. Consciousness isn’t part of that equation.

Experiments like the double-slit test and quantum decoherence studies (notably by Zeh, Zurek, and Tegmark) demonstrate that wave-function collapse happens through physical interaction, not awareness. A Geiger counter, for instance, registers a radioactive decay whether anyone is watching or not.

The “observer effect” often gets misread as a metaphysical claim when it’s really about measurement in a physical system. The universe existed for billions of years before consciousness appeared.

So no, reality doesn’t depend on us. Consciousness is a late arrival to a universe already in motion.

I enjoy your articles. I like thinking about similar issues but never put my thoughts in writing.

Thank you very much Aina! The first step in putting your thoughts on paper is always the most important, as this first step paves the road for your journey.

That was a very well written and provocative (in a good way) article. Anything that stops me to consider and think is so appreciated. I wanted to share what I wrote. I’d love to know your thoughts
